The release of the One UI 7.0 beta update is already delayed by several weeks. Samsung was expected to release it at the end of July, but it didn't, and the update is still not here. It now appears that Samsung may finally be ready to release its next major update to beta testers as testing has entered its next phase.

One UI 7.0 beta is being tested by Samsung's subsidiaries

We have received information that many more subsidiaries of Samsung (local subsidiaries of Samsung, such as Samsung India and Samsung UK) have started testing the One UI 7.0 beta update, and this happens when Samsung is closer to releasing an update. So, it appears that Samsung may be finally ready to open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program.

Samsung usually releases beta updates in China, Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the USA. The beta version of One UI 7.0 has been under testing in these countries for weeks, and now, the testing has started even in other countries where the beta update isn't usually released.

The company recently released the One UI 6.1.1 update to several high-end phones in most markets worldwide. It is a bigger-than-usual One UI x.1.1 update, as it brought many new Galaxy AI features, and this One UI x.1.1 update was released to slab-style phones for the first time. So, Samsung was busy with One UI 6.1.1, and that was a part of the reason for the delay. We also hear that the other part of the delay was caused by Google.

The story continues after the video below.

What to expect from One UI 7.0?

The South Korean firm will reportedly bring significant improvements to its software with One UI 7.0. Those changes and enhancements include smoother animations and transitions, a revamped (two-page) Quick Panel layout with a separate screen for notifications, a redesigned camera app with better one-handed usability, and newer icons for some stock apps.

One UI 7.0 reportedly brings a new charging animation, support for SMS over the 5G standard, a new screen unlocking animation, new widgets for the home screen and the lock screen, and support for large folders on the home screen. It is expected to bring a new battery icon, improved background blur, app icon size adjustments, and a pill-shaped UI element for ongoing tasks.

Samsung is focusing on the stability of its software with One UI 7.0, and Samsung MX head TM Roh is said to be personally overseeing the development. Hence, the company reportedly decided to delay the release of the One UI 7.0 beta update to ship more stable software to end users.
